At our center we use complementary and naturopathic medicines to treat hypoglycemia.
Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar, is often caused by "weak" adrenal glands. Adrenal glands make a hormone called cortisol which is necessary in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels especially during periods of fasting. Measuring cortisol levels and restoring healthy adrenal gland function with natural medicines can often help patients with hypoglycemia be less dependent on frequent eating. Nutritional supplementation with various amino acids can also be very helpful.
